Check these three steps to tyre safety:
1. The minimum tread depth allowable in the UK is 1.6mm across 3/4 of the tyre tread around the entire circumfrence of the wheel. To test this, try the 20p coin test.
2. Tyres should be free from bulges and cuts including the sidewalls
3. Tyre pressures should be checked regularly and be in accordance with the vehicle manufacturers stated pressures
